Before installing or uninstalling the die sets, make sure to disconnect the air hoses from
the air supply!
Locate the upper die (1) to the upper die holder/shaft center* manually.
Note: *Most types of the die sets are installed to the upper die holder. Depending on the die type you use (i.e. plastic grommet dies, the upper die can be installed to the shaft directly after removing of the upper die adaptor. Please refer to “Die Compatibility Guide” and “Installing the upper die adaptor” sections for further reference.
Pull down the manual starting arm (3) to access the upper die. Securely fix the upper die (2) to the upper die holder/shaft manually.
Note: Be sure that the upper die adaptor is securely fixed to the shaft and the upper die is securely fixed to the die adaptor at all times. During a production run check that the upper die has not loosened from the die adaptor. Using the machine with a loose upper die can damage the threads of the die and the die adapter.
Place the lower die bush (4) into the lower die holder by making sure its cut part faces machine’s rear part.
Note: Lower die bushx is used on the installation of certain die types only. For many types of die sets (such as CS-TIDY specific die sets), you can skip this step. Please refer to “Die Compatibility Guide” section for further reference.
Depending on the type of the die set which you would like to install, insert the lower die (5) into the die bushing or into the lower die holder and fix the lower die by tightening the screw (6) with 5mm allen key.
